Postpartum coaching is an invaluable tool to support you in unique ways from childbirth through babyhood (up to 2 years postpartum). Coaching is designed to engage you in a deeper understanding of the impactful transition into parenthood/motherhood, and integrates your personal experiences, values, and aspirations to equip you with accessible tools to influence your trajectory postpartum. Additional specialized areas of coaching include birth trauma, breastfeeding grief, and weaning.
These client-centered consults provide you with support through compassionate affirmation and listening, providing psychoeducation, and sharing and practicing coping skills. Coaching sessions are unique to the needs of each individual, but often include mindfulness and somatic work. EMDR or Brainspotting sessions are available if desired. Coaching sessions are not psychotherapy and are not meant to treat or diagnose mental health disorders, but can be a great first step if you’re currently seeking or waiting to start psychotherapy treatment.
